Sweet Success: St. Mary's 6th Class Bake Sale Raises $1,350 for Charity
The 6th class students at St. Mary's recently put their baking skills to the test for a great cause, hosting a bake sale that raised an impressive $1,350. The funds were divided equally between three important charities: Concern, The Irish Cancer Society, and The Coeliac Society of Ireland, with each organization receiving $450.
The bake sale, held on the school yard, was a buzzing success. Tables were filled with delicious homemade treats, from cupcakes and brownies to cookies and rice crispy buns. Students and teachers all came together to support the event, and the generosity of the school community shone through.
The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the vital work these charities do. Concern focuses on tackling poverty and supporting communities worldwide, The Irish Cancer Society provides crucial services and research funding for those affected by cancer, and The Coeliac Society of Ireland offers advocacy and resources for people living with coeliac disease.
A huge congratulations to the 6th class students for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts not only showcased their baking talents but also demonstrated the power of community and compassion. Well done to everyone involved for making a difference one sweet treat at a time!
