Congratulations to all students who put themselves forward for the Student Council elections. In preparation for the election we conducted a mock election of fruit and used the system for Proportional Representation - Single Transferable Vote. By doing this, we saw the importance of voting for the best candidate and how our votes can be transferred to help candidates reach the quota. Mr. Ó Briain has been overseeing the election and counting all the votes. Each 4th class has one seat on the St. Mary's Student Council. We await the results!
