St. Marys' Science Experiment: Creating a Wormery
8th Apr 2024
At St. Marys, our recent science experiment was both educational and fun as students created a wormery. Using a plastic bottle, the children layered soil and sand to mimic a natural habitat. Excitement peaked when they found worms in our garden and added them to their new home, complete with some fresh fruit and leaves as a source of food. This hands-on project taught students about earthworm ecology and soil health. Now, our class pets are happily burrowing and helping us learn about the environment. A big thank you to our enthusiastic young scientists for their curiosity and care in creating this thriving wormery!
