Active Week was filled with many wonderful activities and events which we thoroughly enjoyed here in 4th class. On the first day, we had a 'Throlf' competition as well as taking part in a dance workshop. On Monday, we took part in an Active Walkway which demonstrated our orienteering skills. We visited Clanna Gael on Wednesday to enjoy a Gaelic blitz that was brilliantly organised. On Thursday, the whole school took part in Sports Day which included lots of different activities including races, throwing games, jumping games, tug of war, penalty shootout and many more. On the final day of Active Week, 4th and 5th class played a giant game of rounders which got very competitive! Over the past few weeks, the senior school have completed the 'Daily Mile Challenge' where we ran the length and breadth of Ireland by doing laps of the school grounds each day. We improved every day and challenged ourselves with our pacing. We are a very active community here in St. Mary's!
