We have been using Readers Theatre to develop our reading fluency, confidence and expression. Readers Theatre provides a purposeful reading experience which increases motivation to read. Research has shown that the best way to develop fluency is to use repeated oral reading. Readers Theatre creates interest and motivation for our young readers. The class have been reading the short scripts in small groups and having great fun working together. Well done 1st class! We will swap the scripts around and perform for each other in weeks to come.
