Friendship and Resilience Week Drama

In our classroom we use 'Educational Drama' or Drama in Education. This means that we are learning through drama. For Friendship and Resilience week we created a drama based on the story of 'The Giving Tree' by Shel Silverstein. The story is about the friendship of a boy and a tree. We explored the notion of friendship boundaries as well as the qualities of a good friend. How it is important to give as well as take within a friendship. The children really enjoyed the lessons and learned a lot. We recorded a little fly on the wall documentary about this drama. Check it out and you can see what drama is like in our classroom.
