Dragons Den Meets 5th Class: A Lesson in Pitching with Dr. Beere
Our 5th class students had an exciting opportunity last week as part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. In preparation for our Dragons' Den pitches, we have been working in small groups to come up with product ideas, creating PowerPoint presentations, and practicing our pitches to impress the Dragons.
To help us refine our ideas and build confidence, we were incredibly lucky to welcome Dr. Roslind Beere, an experienced entrepreneur and business expert—and a parent in 5th class!
Dr. Beere spoke to us about the importance of pitching ideas, sharing her own insights from the business world. She even referenced a well-known pitch from Shark Tank to demonstrate how a strong pitch can make all the difference. The session was interactive, with students getting the chance to ask questions and learn first-hand from her expertise.
It’s fantastic to see the wealth of knowledge within our own school community, and we are so grateful to Dr. Beere for helping us prepare for our Dragons' Den presentations. Encouraging parental involvement in school activities like this only strengthens our community and enriches our students' learning experience.
A huge thank you to Dr. Beere for inspiring and supporting our young entrepreneurs!
