'Twas the Night Before Christmas
By Sarah
'Twas the Night Before Christmas,
It was a silent night,
The kids were waiting for Santa,
Hoping for presents to delight.
The tree was glimmering,
There was tasty food.
The warm hot chocolate
Set the mood.
Every family went to bed,
While Santa was flying up ahead.
In the morning, children woke.
Hoping the big old man that advertises Coke.
Comes to deliver all they toys,
To all the little girls and boys.
But when they got down,
They started to frown.
There was no presents to see,
But how could that be?
They got a small, little pinch.
Which made them know it was the Grinch!
'Twas the night before Christmas
By Joseph
'Twas the night before Christmas with the family asleep
except for little Timmy who was trying to peep.
Little Timmy saw with his very own eyes,
what he thought was Santa in disguise.
He was wearing a very tall red hat,
and a very large jumper to hide his obvious fat.
Little Timmy followed him down a very long street
and into a cabin to warm his stubby feet.
He hid behind a very large chair,
he saw Santa drop his red hat, no he wouldn't dare.
When little Timmy got home he went to bed
although his heart was very dead.
When he woke up the next morning he went down to the tree and clenched his fist
and just like that he went from the naughty to the nice list.
'Twas the Night Before Christmas
By Rozanna
'Twas the Night Before Christmas,
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hope that Saint Nicolas would soon be there.
Children came down
and to their delight presents were glimmering with things inside
Music was playing, candles were lit and their cosy family with their hot chocolates.
It was a festive morning the tree was glimmering,
the party had started, the desserts were glistening.
The wind was howling and in a blink of an eye it was snowing and the night had died.
The kids were in bed, parents were asleep.
"Until next year", said Santa, as they went asleep.
